What is DTF? What is the process?

DTF-Direct To Film: A printing technique where PNG designs are printed onto a special wax film before being transferred onto a variety of substances using a heat press.

A PNG (Portable Network Graphic) design is printed onto a special, adhesive wax coated film using a modified printer and DTF specific inks.

A layer of adhesive powder is applied to the printed film while the ink is still warm and wet.

The powder is then cured with high heat, melting and bonding the powder to the ink.

The cured design, now a DTF transfer, is placed on the desired fabric (like a t-shirt) and heat-pressed to transfer the design.
